Lockdown restrictions relaxed in Chittoor

Chittoor: As the lockdown restrictions were relaxed, most of the business and commercial establishments have started their activities in the city. Municipal Commissioner C Obulesh instructed the people to maintain social distance and wear face mask during shopping. Speaking to the press persons here at his chambers on Tuesday, he said that Government has accorded permission for reopening the textile shops, footwear, and the street food vendors on certain conditions. All the shops , vegetable stalls, fruit markets, book stalls, electrical shops, and provisional stores are allowed to function.

He stated that both the customers and the men at shops have to maintain social distance and wear masks. The particulars of the consumers should be recorded in separate registers and conduct the thermal screening test in the textile shops . The street vendors should strictly sanitise their hands once in half an hour. He made it clear that there was no permission for film theatres , function halls and malls for reopen in the enforcing lockdown 4. The shops are permitted to function between 7am to 7pm, he added.
