Lokesh not to be invited to DRC meeting: Minister Mekathoti Sucharita

Guntur: The District Review Committee (DRC) meeting on Saturday adopted a resolution not to invite MLC Nara Lokesh to the DRC meetings in future for making derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

MLA Alla Rama Krishna Reddy introduced the resolution which was supported by MLAs Kislari Rosaiah, Vemula Nagarjuna,Vidadala Rajini and otherYSRC MLAs. They condemned derogatory remarks made by Lokesh Naidu against Jagan Mohan Reddy. The resolution unequivocally felt that it was not correct to criticise the Chief Minister and Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita.They said Lokesh Naidudid not attend a single DRC and ZP meetings so far.

Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita said a case was booked against Unnava Srinivasa Rao, a TDP activist, in 2018. He committed suicide. She urged the TDP leaders to spell out the reason for the suicide of Unnava Srinivasa Rao.

Guntur-Krishna districts Teachers constituency MLC AS Rama Krishna said that it was not correct to expel the MLC from the DRC meetings. He raised objections on this

proposal. Lokesh on Friday went to Prattipadu in Guntur district and consoled TDP activist Srinivasa Rao's family members. He criticised the Chief Minister.
