Low pressure in Bay of Bengal: AP to receive widespread rains in next 24 hours

As per the meteorological department, the low pressures along with the surface trough in the Bay of Bengal will is said to cause the rains in several parts of the Andhra Pradesh over the next 24 hours. The officials say the surface rotation continues about one-and-a-half kilometres above the earth's surface.
On the other hand, due to the cumulonimbus clouds, many areas in the state appeared dark on Saturday. While most parts of the state especially in Ongole, Nellore, Tirupati, Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts have received rains.
Due to unseasonal rains, the cotton and mirchi crops have been damaged. Roads in some areas have become muddy after rain on Saturday.
