Maintain transparency in house allotment: Minister

Poduru: Minister for Housing Ch Sriranganadharaju has directed the officials to maintain transparency in selecting beneficiaries for housing scheme without giving room for criticism or favouritism.

Addressing housing officials at a meeting here on Saturday, the minister said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is keen to give house to all eligible families in the district. Criticism about favouritism for party sympathizers should not arise as it was the culture of the previous government.

Only genuine families should be selected irrespective of their party affiliation, he made it clear. The minister said that the government has sufficient funds for acquiring private land necessary for allotting house sites by Ugadi. The officials should speed up the process and help implement the government scheme in a foolproof manner, he added.
