Make ‘Nabhoomi-Nadesam’ a grand success: Kakani
Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy addressing a press conference on ‘Nabhoomi-Nadesam’ programme held in Nellore on Monday
Nellore: Agriculture Minister Kakani Govsrdhan Reddy on Monday said that the ‘Nabhoomi- Nadesam’ programme will be organised from August 9 to 30 in the district.
Addressing a press conference along with the collector M Hari Narayanan here, the minister said this programme is being conducted under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav following directions of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for 20 days in the district.
As part of it, stone plaques comprising the messages of Prime Minister, Chief Minister and names of freedom fighters, police, soldiers would be arranged in every village. He said the main theme of the programme is to recollect the sacrifices made by freedom fighters during Independence struggle and sacrifices of soldiers for protecting the integrity of the nation.
The minister said this programme will be organised in Panchayats and Municipalities in the district.
The minister appealed to people to participate in this programme in big way and make it a grand success. He also sought the support of media for the successfully conducting the 20-day event.
