Man brutally killed in Guntur, deceased's relative suspected of murder

In a bizarre incident, Jampani Nageswara Rao was brutally murdered at midnight on Tuesday in Granthasiri village in Atchampet mandal of Guntur district. The accused, who is suspected to be a close relative of the deceased had killed following a clash over a land dispute. After the murder, the accused locked the body in the room and fled.

Going into details, Jampani Nageswara Rao of Pamidipadu village in Narasaraopet mandal migrated to Granthasiri village fifteen years ago. He has set up a temporary residence in the vacant space of close relatives.

He makes a living by selling meat along with the vegetable business. Kilari Nageswara Rao, the owner of the place had asked Jampani Nageswara Rao to vacate his place. However, Jampani Nageswara Rao refused to do so.

In this context, on Tuesday night, Jampani Nageswara Rao invited Kilari Nageswara Rao to his house. The two later got into an argument over a place which led to murder of Jampani Nageswara Rao. The villagers suspect that Kilari killed Jampani Nageswara Rao in this order. Police have registered a case over the incident and are investigating.
