Man lynched for plucking mangoes in East Godavari district

East Godavari: In a tragic incident a man was lynched at Singampalli village in Rangampeta mandal in East Godavari district.

Over the allegations of plucking mangoes, a Dalit man was tied up and trashed by the upper caste people.

In the incident, the Dalit man has lost his life. The deceased was identified as B Srinivas (33).

Later the body of Srinivas was taken to the panchayat office and hanged from the ceiling as if he has committed suicide by hanging himself.

On knowing the Srinivas death, his family members rushed to the panchayat office and brought the body down.

As the news spread to the nearby villages, the people reached Singampalli and stage protest demanding action against the culprits.

With this, the tension prevailed at Singampalli village. Over the information, the police reached the spot, registered a case and investigating further.
