Maoist murders a man under guise of informer at Visakapatnam agency, leaves a letter

A day after killing of two maoists at Andhra-Odisha Border on Sunday, yet another incident took place in Visakhapatnam agency where the maoists were brutally murdered under the guise of an informer and left a letter. Going into details, Gemmeli Krishna Rao of Vakapalli was brutally killed by the Maoists under the guise of an informer in the Visakhapatnam agency area. The letter was then left at his body. In their letter, the Maoists alleged that Krishna Rao had not changed his approach despite repeated warnings regarding the leakage of information.

Maoist admitted that he had been killed while acting as an informant for the police and authorities. However, the letter was in the name of the Korikonda Pedabayalu area committee Maoists. After receiving information about Krishna Rao's murder, the police reached the spot and examined the body and confirmed that Krishna Rao was killed by the Maoists under the guise of informer. Police have registered a case of murder and are investigating further.

Earlier on Sunday, an exchange of fire between maoists and police took place at Andhra-Odisha border where two maoists were killed in the incident. Among the killed, one was identified as Mallanna, a member of the Maoist Party Area Committee while the other was a female maoist.
