Massive fire breaks out at godown in Kadapa district

Kadapa, April 15: More than RS 1 crore worth various commercial crop products like Ground nut, Jowar , Coriander seeds etc turned to ashes after some unidentified persons reportedly set fire to the godown belongs to TDP leader Devireddy Sanjeeva Reddy at Dindlavagu village of Lingala mandal in Pulivendula constituency wee hours of Monday.

Farmers from surrounding areas like Gollavagu, Simhadripuram, Balapanuru, Tonduru, Inaganuru, Kasanuru, Mallela etc 50 villaes farmers have stored their produce grown during the Kharief season in the DSR godown on rental basis.

It is learnt that some unidentified persons allegedly gain into the godown by breaking it's locks, set fire to the produce.

Devireddy Sanjeeva Reddy worked in favor of Pulivendula assembly segment TDP nominee R Satish Kumar Reddy in the recent elections. In this connection there was heat arguments between Sanjeeva Reddy and YSR Congress activists in the village 2 days ago. The duo resorted threatens each other during the arguments.

Meanwhile fire-engines from Pulivendula town rushed to the spot controlling flames.
