MCT chief completes one year tenure successfully

Tirupati: Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) Commissioner V Vijaya Rama Raju has completed successfully one year tenure as commissioner and he implemented many development projects for city growth.

Various smart city works were started at cost of Rs 800 crores in the pilgrim city. Other development project like command control room with CC cameras and roads beatification works were designed by him. Elevated corridor from Market Yard ( Chennai-Anantapur high way) to Nandi Circle 6 km length was started in his tenure at a cost of Rs 684 crores and with the help of TTD.

He took initiative in introducing of e bikes project to avoid pollution in the city. Recently these battery bikes were handed over to the respective municipal staff for field visits. Commissioner V VRama Raju is instrumental for creation of sports facilities at Indira maidanam and Srinivasam Sports Complex which were taken up at a cost of Rs 3 crore. And also he started six summer water storage tanks construction works under Amruth scheme to cater drinking water needs of the city residents.
