Meet on palliative care services

Visakhapatnam: An interactive meeting was held here on Sunday by volunteers of Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation with the Founder Director of Cancer Relief India, Gilly Burn in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Gilly Burn briefed about the importance of providing palliative care services to terminally sick patients. She said, "Pain is the visible part of suffering. What is often ignored is the feeling of hopelessness and despair."

She added that everyone deserves peaceful death, and people having empathy and compassion, who can hear with an open heart to the terminally sick patients can reduce the suffering of patients. Chairman of Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation G Sambasiva Rao and Trustee and Medical Directorof Foundation N S Raju were present in the meeting.
