Milad-un-Nabi: Children advised to respect parents, elders

Kurnool: Religious fervour marked at Milad-un-Nabi celebrations at various places across the district on Sunday and the people of Muslim community offered prayers at mosques.

Superintendent of Police Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli wished the community people and participated at the Milad-un-Nabi celebrations at Raj Vihar Centre . The community elders read out the principles of the Prophet. They advised the children to respect their parents and elders.

The SP addressing the gathering, said that Prophet Mohammed had led a very simple living and spread a message that everyone should respect each other and should strive to establish a good society. ``The Prophet had taught the world about humanity and moral values. Service to human beings is considered as service to God," said Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli.

He reiterated that everyone should have love and affection on each other and behave in a brotherhood manner. As per the divine voice "Ikra" prominence is given to education and we all have to fight against illiteracy and impart good education to our children. We all have to follow the footsteps of the Prophet, the SP added.

Kurnool MLA Mohammed Hafeez Khan, former MP Butta Renuka, DSP Baba Fakkruddin, Traffic DSP Mahaboob Basha, CIs Maheshwar Reddy, Sri Ramulu, Tabrez, Srinath Reddy and Pavan Kishore, CID CI Seetharam and others participated.
