Milli Council exhorts Muslims to explore legal solution in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: All India Milli Council general secretary Manzoor Alam on Saturday said Muslims should explore legal solution to end the mob lynching. He expressed concern over the mob lynching incidents reported in some north Indian States and attacks on the Minorities and Dalits in the country.
He was addressing the 20th national Milli Council meeting. About 170 representatives from 27 States attended the two-day national council. Speaking on the occasion, Alam said some forces were trying to suppress the rights of the Muslims and Dalits in the country.
These forces, he said,had been creating a rift among various sections of the people. He stressed upon the need to find a legal solution to check mob lynching in the country. The Muslims must work along with secular forces to ensure communal harmony and peace in the country.
Minister for MinoritiesWelfare Amjad Basha said the Muslims had played a key role in freedom struggle. The Constitution guaranteed freedom to individuals to practise their religion.
