Minister asks students to focus on studies
Visakhapatnam: Minister of Tourism and Youth Advancement Muttamsetti Srinivas Rao participated as chief guest in Inter-District Youth Exchange programme held at Youth Hostel, YMCA here on Tuesday.
Interacting with the students from West Godavari and Krishna districts, he advised them to take care about their studies seriously and encouraged them to pursue higher education. He added, "Because of globalization, the world has become a global village. When we have the access to technology, all of us can do wonders and can reach heights."
A batch of 100 students from West Godavari and Krishna districts residing in the city convened a meeting as part of youth exchange programme, which ends on September 26. For Alekya, a final year student from CSE-SUIST, who wants to explore industrial part of the city, says, "We are expecting industrial visit in areas like steel plant, airport and shipyard.
We can learn a lot from field trips. This field trip will be helpful for our future growth and knowledge." Similarly, Deepika Raj Purohit from SKSD Mahila Kosala College, wants to explore the heritage and culture of the Port city.
