Minister Botsa Satyanarayana once again made some interesting comments on the AP capital issue. He alleged that the last TDP government in Amaravati spent Rs. one Crore per acre.

Speaking at a meeting in Ananthapur, he said the last government has given a contract worth Rs 32,000 crore in the name of construction related to capital Amaravati. All these funds were spent on layouts and roads. Tenders have been called for lay-out development with Rs 17 crore while the tender of RS 32 crores were held for construction of roads.

Botsa Satyanarayana reiterated that they did not say that the capital would no longer remain in Amravati. The JN Rao Expert Committee will gather public opinion across the state. The committee will give the report on where the capital should bes. "People have expressed their views on capital."

On the other hand, in a typical move Singapore has announced that it has cancelled the Amaravati Startup Area project. The Ascendas and Singh Bridge deal with the AP government has been cancelled. The announcement said the project was canceled with mutual consent. The decision was taken because the AP government was not interested in the proposed startup area development.
