Minister Paritala Sunitha to give way to son?

Venkatapuram (Anantapur): There seems to be an internal power struggle among family members of late MLA Paritala Ravindra on who should fight the election.

According to family sources, the Paritala family is divided on who should contest the election. While majority of family members are for Paritala Sunitha, a section of them want Paritala Sriram, son of Paritala Sunitha, to contest from Raptadu.

It may be recalled Paritala Sunitha had requested Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to nominate her son Sriram for Kalyandurgam constituency or elsewhere but the Chief Minister was silent on her request and announced only her candidature for Raptadu constituency.

There are unconfirmed reports that Sunitha expressed her willingness to give way to her son to contest from Raptadu. However the party high command, it is understood wants only Sunitha to contest and not her son. It remains to be seen how they would resolve the issue.
