The Minister inspected several areas including APSRTC complex, Government Junior College, Old Bus Stand, Purusottama Nagar and Rajiv Nagar. To avoid inundation of low-lying areas and stagnation of rainwater, integrated underground drainage is essential here, the Minister said.

He directed the officials to prepare an action plan to discharge rainwater freely from all areas across the town. On the occasion, the residents explained their problems to the minister particularly during rainy season. Internal roads and drainage were also required to avoid stagnation of rainwater in residential areas. Revenue, public health, Panchayat Raj, medical and engineering officials accompanied the minster.
