Minister Velampalli Srinivas distributes free books
Vijayawada: Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy is working towards education for all, regardless of poor and rich discrimination, said Endowments Minister Velampalli Srinivas. He participated in the distribution of free books by Maa Illu- Saraswati Vidya Peetham. The free book distribution programme for children and needy students was held at the Sri Krishna Prayer Hall on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the Maa Illu- Saraswati Vidya Peetham organisers who have been delivering free books to poor students for the past 15 years. The state government is providing education for all.
From January 26, through Amma Vodi scheme, Rs 15,000 will be distributed to mothers of the students, he added. Konakalla Vidyadhara Rao, Maa Illu-Saraswati Vidyapeetam organisers, students, parents and others were present.
