MITS organises blood donation camp in Madanapalle

Blood donation camp being inaugurated at Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science on Thursday

Madanapalle: Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science, Madanapalle (MITS) College NSS Cell conducted a blood donation camp on Thursday (September 26) under the aegis of the Madanapalle Rotary Club and Indian Red Cross Society, Bangalore. About 200 students donated blood at this event, Dr. C Yuvaraj, the college principal said.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, the Principal said, "donating blood is a life-saving endeavor. Blood donation has become a necessity for many reasons these days. He said patients with infections, HIV, cancer, diabetes, tuberculosis, asthma and rabies should not donate blood.

The Red Cross Society presented the students with letters of appreciation. NSS Coordinator C Narasimha along with students, Madanapalle Rotary Club members and the Red Cross Society Members participated in the programme.
