MLA advises Ward Secretaries to work hard in Chittoor

Chittoor: MLA A Srinivasulu said that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will certainly ensure bright future for the newly recruited Ward Secretaries in the state after completing their probationary period. The responsibilities of the Ward Secretaries will become instrumental for development, he added.

Awareness and orientation programme was held for Ward Secretaries here on Saturday at Municipal Council Meeting Hall in which all the newly recruited ward secretaries of Chittoor Municipal Corporation were present.

Addressing the meet, the YCP leader Srinivasulu made it clear that government was not going to compromise for any lapses of the newly recruited employees. ``The ward secretaries should work hard for two years initially in their respective divisions of the city under the control of Chittoor Municipal Commissioner.

CM has great expectations on the newly introduced system,'' he added. The services of the ward secretaries will be regularised after two years with all prescribed salaries, increments and perks, he stated.

Chittoor Municipal Commissioner C Obulesh said that there will be no disputes as far as the payment of salaries to the ward secretaries are concerned. The Government has introduced Ward Secretariat System in the state in a prestigious manner.

Each one should work hard in their assignments as per expectations of the government, he added. Chittoor Town Planning Officer Nagendra, Assistant Commissioner Lakshmi and others were present.
