Vizianagaram: The Assembly ticket aspirants from the district are in dilemma with TDP high command yet to take a decision on many assembly segments. The Assembly ticket aspirants from the district are in dilemma with TDP high command yet to take a decision on many assembly segments.
The leaders including sitting MLAs, aspirants and mandal level cadre moved to Vijayawada to attend the MP constituency level review meetings. Leaders belong to Araku and Vizianagaram Lok Sabha constituency also attended the meeting.
They hoped that the high command would give some hints or clarity on MLA candidates. But, as of now, except Bobbili (RVSK Ranga Rao) and S Kota (Lalitha Kumari), Etcherla (Kala Venkatrao) there is no clarity on many other assembly nominees.
Sitting MLAs of Nellimarla (P N S Naidu), Parvathipuram (B Chiranjeevulu), Gajapathinagaram (K A Naidu), Cheepurupalli (K Mrinalini) are facing strong opposition from the cadre and they are demanding to change their candidature. Even Chiranjeevulu is also facing strong opposition from local leaders.
Apart from this, the mandal level leaders of Nellimarla stated that they would go for massive resignations if the high command gives ticket to Narayana Swami Naidu. Mrinalini from Cheepurupalli is also facing the same situation.
Party president N Chandrababu Naidu could not decide a right person for Salur and Kurupam constituencies. Family members of senior leader S Vijayarama Raju is expecting ticket from Kurupam but some equations are obstructing here. R P Bhanj Deo has been projected as MLA candidate from Salur but he is facing cases against his caste (ST).
If Bhanj Deo is denied, S Swathi Rani, ZP Chairperson, would be the probable candidate for TDP to field from Salur. Bobbili ticket is confirmed to Mines and Geology Minister RVSK Ranga Rao and this decision has disappointed his brother Baby Naina, who is expecting the same.
Kala Venkata Rao is in safe place as nobody is objecting his candidature from Etcherla. Gididi Eswari of Paderu and K Sravan of Araku are also in safe mode as of now. A MPP from Nellimarla stated, "We have been strongly opposing the candidature of sitting MLA PNS Naidu and we are choosing another young leader from here. We hope that the high command would take a favourable decision in this regard."
