Mohan Babu acting as YSRCP agent: TDP

Tirupati: TDP MLC Buddha Venkanna has criticised actor-turned-politician Mohan Babu for ridiculing TDP welfare schemes like Pasupu Kunkuma which benefitted the women in large.

Speaking to media here on Saturday, Venkanna said that there is nothing wrong in Mohan Babu taking to street on the issue of the fee reimbursement dues.

But, it is not correct on his part to ridicule TDP welfare schemes and indirectly criticising TDP leadership.

"He is acting like YSRCP agent and trying to politicise the fee reimbursement to benefit YSRCP in the election," he said, finding fault with Mohan Babu involving his college students also in his protest to derive publicity.

Venkanna, who was here to bring truce between the TDP groups in Nagari constituency where party nominee Gali Bhanupraksh engaged in a bitter fight with sitting MLA and YSRCP firebrand leader RK Roja, alleged a nexus between YSRCP and BJP in the State which he said was evident in many places with the activists of both parties joining hands against ruling TDP.

The MLC exuded confidence that his party will sweep in the election and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will come back to power with more seats than in 2014.
