Mohan Babu demands release of fee reimbursement
Tirupati: Film Actor and Sreevidyanikethan Educational Trust chairman M Mohan Babu, along with hundreds of students of his institutional institutions, staged protest on Madanapalle highway on Friday demanding the release of funds relating to students' fee reimbursement. Later, he spoke against State government and TDP government.
Mohan Babu criticisedChief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu alleging that he was responsible for the delay in the release of funds. For the past few days, he has been questioning the higher education department for the delay in releasing funds. After staging dharna, he wanted to take out a rally in Tirupati. But, Tirupati Urban police have rejected permission to organise the protest rally. But the actor, along with his sons and students, tried to start the rally for some time.
Tirupati west division and Chandragiri Police officials tried to convince MohanBabu to withdraw the protest programme. At about 9 am Mohan Babu staged dharna and rastarokonear his educational institutions on Madanapalle highway. He charged that Chandrababu Naidu had betrayed the people of AP who voted him to power in the last election with belief that he would to do something for them.
He flayed that TDP is not Chandrababu Naidu's own party, it was forcefully grabbed by him from NTR. He said that they will approach court against the State government for release of funds to students' fee reimbursement. Tension prevailed near Sreevidyanikethan for some time.
In this connection, Tirupati Urban police have deployed additional police force for bandobust at Sreevidiayanikethan area at Rangampeta village.
