Mother-son duo dies in a road accident near Rayachoti in Kadapa

In a shocking incident, two persons died and one sustained injury in an accident in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday morning. The accident took place when a car and Eicher vehicle collided with each other at Rayachoti in Kadapa district. The mother and her two sons were travelling in a car from Bangalore to Nellore. Three people in the car were seriously injured. Two of them were critically injured and died in hospital.

Another injured man was taken to Tirupati hospital for better treatment. The deceased and are identified as mother-son duo Lakshmi and Karthik Reddy while Sandeep Reddy is currently undergoing the treatment. Upon information, the police rushed to the scene and held rescue operations along with the locals. The wounded were taken to a hospital for treatment and registered a case by the police.

The driver of the Eicher vehicle was taken into custody after the crash. The police, who informed the family members of the accident, said they would hand over the bodies to the relatives after the postmortem. On the other hand, Sandeep, who is being treated at Tirupati Hospital, is also said to be in critical condition.
