Mould students as responsible citizens, teachers told Deputy CM Alla Nani
Eluru: Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani has said it is the responsibility of teachers to mould students as good citizens of future. He attended as the chief guest at a meeting organised by AP Private Schools Managements Association (APPSMA) at Sir CR Reddy College auditorium here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said students would spend most of their time in the presence of teachers than parents. It will be the duty of teachers to take care of them and guide them in right path. As the parents have many hopes on the future of their kids, the teachers should take up the responsibility with utmost care and extend quality education to them.
Restricting students from 7 am to 9 pm in the schools on the pretext of imparting education is not good practice, he warned. Nani called upon the teachers to stick to the usual school timings and also teach sports and cultural activities to the students apart from academics. Denduluru MLA KA Choudhary, APPSMA general secretary MBS Sarma and others also spoke.
