MP Nandigam Suresh in trouble over allegations on falsifying the caste certificate
The YSRCP MP Nandigam Suresh who has been facing backlash from the farmers of capital villages is caught up in yet another controversy. This time he was involved in the caste conflict. The Legal Rights Protection Forum, Dalit Positive Movement President complained to Lok Sabha Speaker and president of India against Nandigam Suresh alleging him of producing wrong affidavit is concerned with caste.
It is interesting that Dalit communities from Maharashtra complained to the President stating that Suresh has adopted Christianity and is no more an SC reserved candidate to contest in the reserved constituency.
The regulations stipulate that if a Dalit person adopts Christianity or Islam following the 1950 presidential decree, he or she has to forgo the SC status. Suresh is also accused of filing a false affidavit under the Public Representation Act. However, MP Nandigam Suresh is yet to respond on the matter.
Hails from Uddandarayunipalem village of Tulluru manual of Guntur District, Nandigam Suresh was a key figure in the party and was allocated a Bapatla MP seat by Jagan Mohan Reddy. As a key leader in the capital region, he shares camaraderie with Jagan and supported for three capital proposal.
