MP Vijayasai Reddy inaugurates distribution programme in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy inaugurated the distribution of dry ration kits by Hare Krishna Movement and the Akshaya Patra Foundation here on Monday.

About 765 dry ration kits, supported by donor Micron, were launched in the presence of president of Hare Krishna Movement Nishkinchana Bhakta Dasa and YSRCP city president Vamsi Krishna Srinvas.

In times of lockdown, Hare Krishna Movement and the Akshaya Patra Foundation conducted several service-oriented activities and as a part of it, 83,596 meals were distributed so far. The MP lauded the efforts of the organisers for reaching out to the needy in times of dire need.

A number of service activities continue to cater to the needy in the wake of the pandemic.
