MSAA holes health awareness camp for women
Vijayawada: Maris Stella Alumnae Association (MSAA) organised an awareness programme on 'Common Gynec Problems among Young Women' on the college premises here on Friday.The chief guest of the programme was an alumna, Dr S Sahithi of Vedamantra Ayurvedic Clinic.
Speaking on the occasion, Sahithi explained about the health issues faced by young women and adolescents and discussed about the reasons for getting gynec issues such as PCOD, anaemia, urinary infections, menstrual problems, thyroid complications etc.
She advised the students to take balanced diet which would overcome these problems. Iron based food items such as leafy vegetables, custard apple, dates, jaggary etc will help a lot to be fit, she said and added that physical exercises such as walking and yoga are good.
Dr K Sandhya, president, MSAA and other members of MSAA, alumnae of the college and all degree students attended the programme.
