MSP to be displayed in markets: Jagan
Amaravati: The Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed the officials to declare Maximum Retail Prices of essential commodities and ensure to display them in the markets, during a review meeting on Marketing and Cooperative departments at his Camp Office at Tadepalli in Guntur district on Thursday.
The Ministers including K Kannababu, Minister for Agriculture and Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, Minister for Marketing and concerned officials are present in the review meeting.
In this meeting, Chief Minister also suggested to establish millet board by October end. Directed to complete nomination of chairmen and members for all Agriculture Market Committees by October end. He also asked to ensure 50% reservation to SC, ST, BC and Women as per GO 77. He also taken another key decision to maintain food grains stock by constructing godowns at constituency level. The CM asked officials to start construction of the godowns across the state immediately.
As part of reforms in agriculture marketing, Chief Minister directed to implement e-Nam for all crops at all the marketing places in the state. He gave in principle approval to e-Permit. He asked officials to eliminate middlemen in 6 months.
