Muslims must play key role in protecting nation's integrity: Deputy CM

Kadapa: Eid al-Adha, which is popularly known as Bakrid, has been performed in a spiritual manner across the district on Monday. Muslims in large numbers have offered special prayers at the Mosques since morning.

Addressing the gathering after performing prayers at mamilla palle Halima Sadia grounds, Deputy Chief Minister Amzadh Basha said Eid-al-Adha is meant to sacrifice. While wishing India to be in the top position in all fronts irrespective of religion, the deputy chief minister has called upon the Muslims to play a crucial role by sacrificing their lives in protecting the integrity of the nation.

The deputy chief minister has wished for timely rains and farmers to secure rich yielding in cultivation. He said that the government is keen on improving the living standards of Muslims by introducing various welfare schemes. He said that state is witnessing rampant development in all fronts under the guidance of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Religious leaders and elders were present on the occasion.
