Mydukuru MLA released water to KC canal

Kadapa: Mydukuru MLA S.Raghu Rami Reddy has released 3,600 cusecs of Krishna water from Rajoli Anecut on Friday. This water release will be continued for 120 days up to till the conclusion of Kharif season.

Addressing press conference the MLA said that following entry of adequate water into the Srisailam reservoir the government has decided to release the water in the interest of farmers to conduct agriculture operations in the Kharif season. Replying to a question over the release of water to Brahmam Sagar the MLA said that the government is already on the job of releasing 10,000 cusecs of water from Velugodu project likely from tomorrow.

He said that following directions of chief minister it was also decided to let 30,000 cusecs of water to Pothi Reddy padu reservoir from Srisailam dam. The MLA advised farmers to go for plantations as they need not worried about water it will be supplied tail end lands till the conclusion of Kharif season. Irrigation officials were present.
