N Chandrababu Naidu ridicules Jagan’s coronavirus solution

Amaravati: TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would be given the Nobel prize if his paracetamol idea provides relief to so many countries which were not able to find the right cure for the virus right now.

Addressing a press conference at party state office in Mangalagiri on Wednesday, Naidu ridiculed the Chief Minister for his casual remarks on the Covid-19, in an attempt to downplay the impact of the virus. This attempt was made by the Chief Minister to mount pressure on the State Election Commission to revoke the postponement of the local body elections, he said.

Referring to Jagan's bleaching powder solution to coronavirus spread, Naidu in a sarcastic note, wanted to know whether bleaching powder should be sprayed on each and every person to prevent the spread of pandemic. By making such comments, he said, Jagan has become a laughing stock in both the national and international media.

Naidu demanded that the government take immediate additional measures for the safety of the people without suppressing details of virus cases any more. As per the Government of India, over 11,000 persons returned to Andhra Pradesh from different countries where the virus outbreak was alarming.

There are reports that Jagan's daughters have also returned home from the US.

Stating that Telugu students were being asked to vacate hostels in foreign countries, Naidu told the Jagan government to take immediate steps to bring them home as those students were facing a lot of problems on account of cancellation of flights.
