NAD services to Indian Navy hailed in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Naval Armament Depot (NAD) stands tall in its contribution to the Indian Navy and meeting its operational requirements. Participating as chief guest in the platinum jubilee celebrations of NAD, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command Vice-Admiral Atul Kumar Jain appreciated the NAD personnel for their untiring efforts in making the organisation stand out and assured continued support of the ENC to the NAD in its endeavours.

Later, he saluted the warriors, who lost their lives in the recent AN-32 transport aircraft that crashed in Arunachal Pradesh.Marking the occasion, M Somasekhar, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Visakhapatnam, unveiled a special cover.

The platinum jubilee edition of the NAD magazine 'Smritika' and souvenir, a mural depicting multifarious activities of the depot were launched. An impressive presentation of classical dance forms formed a part of the event.

Director General Naval Armament KK Prasad, Director General Naval Armament Inspectorate, Integrated Headquarters, New Delhi, Rear Admiral Sanjay Misra, MLA Gana Babu Flag Officers of ENC, Chief General Managers of NADs, Director NSTL, Commanding Officers of various establishments of ENC along with retried DGs, CGMs and JCM members took part in the celebrations.
