Naidu accuses Jagan of behaving without dignity

Vijayawada: Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Thursday said that he had never seen a Chief Minister like YS Jagan Mohan Reddy throughout the country so far.

Speaking to media persons here, he said that the Chief Minister post has some dignity which should be protected. "I worked with YS Rajasekhar Reddy and M Chenna Reddy.

They never behaved like Jagan. But the AP Chief Minister was behaving cheaply," he regretted. The Chief Minister was terrorising the State with his undemocratic attitude. All the political parties were opposing the government in just two months, he said.

Chandrababu Naidu also said that there is nexus between Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao which was exposed with the current plans of Godavari-Srisailam Irrigation Project.

The Chief Minister who had criticised KCR in the past over irrigation projects, went back on his stand and dancing to the tunes of KCR. He wondered as to how the AP would construct the project in Telangana spending Rs 1.5 lakh crore.

``The Telangana Chief Minister had sent funds to YSRCP in the recent election. Now Jagan wants to mortgage the interests of AP in favour of Telangana through the irrigation project. The future generations would not forgive him.

It is not YS Jagan's personal issue. The water diversion proposal should be debated widely. Already there was a proposal to construct a lift irrigation project at Bollepalli.

As per another plan, water could be shifted from Polavaram right canal through Pulichintala to Nagarjuna Sagar. But the State government was interested to work with K Chandrashekar Rao and construct a project on Telangana soil.
