Amaravati: TDP national general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh on Monday warned the ruling YSRCP leaders of dire consequences, if they continued to indulge in 'murder politics' targeting the Opposition TDP leaders.

Lokesh blamed YSRCP Gurazala MLA Kasu Mahesh Reddy and Dachepalli SI for the murder of TDP leader and ex-sarpanch Puramsetti Ankulu in Gurazala assembly constituency in Palnadu. There were reports that it was the SI who had called and taken Ankulu to the spot of the murder.

Lokesh visited Dachepalli and called on the family members of the slain leader. He deplored that after YS Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister, faction violence had returned to Gurazala which was enjoying relative peace for the last several years. This is what would happen to the State when a hardcore factionist becomes the Chief Minister. It is not the Dr BR Ambedkar Constitution but the cruel faction-driven Raja Reddy Constitution which is being implemented in Andhra Pradesh right now.

Lokesh warned Jagan that the TDP would revolt if the ruling party went on launching murderous attacks on the Opposition leaders.

There would be a people's revolt as the anti-people policies of the YSRCP had already made its government thoroughly unpopular.

Stating that the modus operandi was the same in all murders of TDP leaders, Lokesh said that the cell phone of Ankulu was also not traceable. The police should tell what had happened to the phone. Even in Proddatur murder, the cell phone of Nandam Subbaiah was not found. While the YSRCP goondas were murdering the TDP leaders, the police were helping them in wiping out the crucial evidence.

Lokesh accused the YSRCP leaders of initially targeting and humiliating the SC and BC leaders but now they were persecuting even the other caste leaders. Ankulu was not only active in the TDP but also well known as a Kapu leader in Dachepalli area. He had served for over two decades as sarpanch of Pedagarlapadu village and ushered in a lot of development there. It was well known how the YSRCP made false arrests of K Atchannaidu, Kollu Ravindra, B Tech Ravi and JC Prabhakar Reddy.
