Nara Lokesh decries harassment of common people by YSRCP activists
Amaravati: TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Wednesday accused the Jagan Mohan Reddy government of turning Andhra Pradesh into a 'Suicide State' with the ruling YSRCP leaders harassing and persecuting all sections of people in the State. Lokesh slammed the ruling party leaders for trying to
grab the hotel and the site belonging to a poor BC woman at Satuluru in Chilakaluripeta Assembly constituency. The YSRCP leaders set their sights on the property of a lonely woman who had to earn her livelihood for protecting her two children.
In a statement here, Lokesh demanded immediate action against the ruling party leaders who were harassing the hapless woman and saving their family. The ongoing atrocities revealed how the common people had no security and right to live under the present atrocious regime.
It may be recalled that the lone BC woman was threatening to commit suicide along with her two children if the local YSRCP leaders do not stop their efforts to
grab her hotel and land. Already, there were many incidents wherein families committed joint suicides in the state. Some have attempted suicide, unable to bear harassment in the hands of the miscreants who have political influence.
The Nandyal joint suicide case of Abdul Salaam was still fresh in memory. The TDP has alleged that no proper action was being taken against the culprits so far even though the Muslim Minorities associations have made a strong plea for stringent action and justice to the deceased family.
