Natural farming will help secure high yields of paddy

Rajamahendravaram: Agriculture Department Special Chief Secretary B Rajasekhar said that high yield of paddy is possible through natural farming and it also helps in reducing pollution.

Addressing the officials of Agriculture Department at Subhamastu Auditorium here on Monday, he underlined the need to create awareness among the farmers on natural farming.

He advised the farming community to adopt new methods in farming to reduce expenditure and to reap profits. It is the duty of the officials of the department to educate the farmers in this regard.

Out of 750 crore population in the world as many as 150 crore are workingin the field of agriculture, 14 crore in IT field and 1.2 crore in automobile sector, he pointed out.

He directed the officials to be in the reach of farmers and clear their doubts if any relating to cultivation.

Advisor to Agriculture Department T Vijay Kumar called upon the farmers to opt for natural farming which will be totally beneficial to them.

Agricultural Department Commissioner Muralidhar Reddy asked the officials to devise plans for kharif season through village-level plans. Collector Karthikeya Misra, Sub-Collector C M Sakanth Varma, Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar, Agricultural Department Joint Director KSV Prasad and others were present.
