Need to re-elect TDP for development stressed
Guntur: Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Anand Babu said that TDP founder and former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao had started construction of permanent houses and implemented Rs 2-a-kg rice scheme for the welfare of the poor and to give food security to them. Ananda Babu paid tributes to the late Chief Minister on the occasion of the 38th TDP Formation Day celebrations held at TDP office in Guntur city on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the NTR fought for the self-respect of Telugus. He reminded that drawing inspiration from him, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been implementing several schemes for the welfare of poor and urged the people to avail the benefits. He urged the voters to elect TDP candidates in the coming elections to continue development.
He reminded that despite financial crisis in the State and non-cooperation from the Centre, the Chief Minister was developing the State. He urged the TDP activists to explain the welfare schemes being introduced by the Chief Minister to the people.
Guntur M P Galla Jayadev said in order to continue development of the state and complete the pending projects, there is a need to make Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister for another term. He urged the voters to conduct campaign about welfare schemes being introduced by the Chief Minister and for the victory of the party candidates in the ensuing elections and added that welfare schemes introduced by the State government benefited all sections of the people. Earlier, he paid tributes at the statue of NTR. TDP candidate for Guntur East Nazeer Ahmed, Muslim minority leader Lal Vazeer and others were among those present.
