Nellore: 20,000 volunteers to collect data of 7 Lakh families
Nellore: District Collector MV Seshagiri Babu said that the village volunteers would collect data from around 7 lakh families regarding the implementation of various government welfare schemes under the YSR Navasekham programme. Addressing media here on Wednesday, he said they would verify the data daily and a task force officer has been deployed for each mandal for overseeing the activity.
He also said that these task force officials conduct meets with volunteers and send reports to Praja Spandana wing regularly. They would give an opportunity to the missing families at the time of data collection and will include them in the survey, he added. The Collector also said the activity starts from November 20 to December 20. He added 11,000 village volunteers, 4,000 urban volunteers and 5,000 ward and village secretariat staff members involved in the huge data collection process. He informed that a monitoring wing has been formed under the supervision of trainee assistant collector.
Joint Collector Dr V Vinod Kumar said that families getting below Rs 10,000 income in rural areas and Rs 12,000 in urban areas are eligible for availing white ration cards. He also explained the selection criteria for getting the ration cards during the meeting. ZP CEO Sarojini explained about the Navasakam programme.
