Nellore: Former minister and TDP politburo member S Chandramohan Reddy said that even though the Centre is giving power at a cost of Rs 2.70 per unit, the AP government has been collecting Rs 9.95 from the consumers.
He responded to the comments of the Union Minister Nirmala Sitaraman and released a note on Saturday.
He said the cost of petrol in the international market was at Rs 30 per litre and the Centre has imposed a tax of Rs 25 and the state has imposed a tax of Rs 30 on the consumers.
He said this was inappropriate to collect Rs 10 per litre more on petrol. He said the TDP government earlier had reduced Rs 2 per litre.
