New arrivals at IGZP

Visakhapatnam: The newly arrived attractions in the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park (IGZP), Sarus Crane and Indian Grey Wolf are healthy and active. As part of animal exchange programme between the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Mysuru, Karnataka, the IGZP, Visakhapatnam, exchanged two wild dogs (2:2) and Sarus Crane (1:1) and Indian Grey Wolf (1).
The Sarus Crane and Indian Grey Wolf are received by the IGZP on last Tuesday night. After taking all the precautions, the animal and the bird were shifted by road to zoo park and housed in quarantine for observation. According to the zoo park officials, they would be put in enclosures after a month.
