NGO organises voluntary blood donation camp in Anantapur

Anantapur: National Voluntary Blood Donation Day has been observed here on Tuesday. Sanjeevini Helping Hands, an NGO organised blood donation camp in which several blood donors participated by donating blood. These noted blood donors donate blood for two to three times in a year.

Welcoming the veteran blood donors, Sanjeevini president V V Ramana Reddy lauded the blood donors especially 2 Town head-constable Venkata Ramana for donating blood for the 25th time and Das another constable of 2 Town police station who donated blood for the 32nd time.

He is an 'O' positive donor. Ravi, another donor who is a salesman by profession donated blood for the 36th time and Kamal another constable donated blood for the 32nd time. Ramana Reddy, the camp organiser himself donated blood for the 40th time.

Ramana gave a call to people to donate blood voluntarily so that scores of deaths in hospitals could be prevented. He appealed to youth and potential donors to call 9440476651 to 'donate blood and save a soul'.
