Nine injured as TSRTC bus rams lorry

Kurnool: As many as nine passengers received injuries when the bus in which they were travelling rammed into a lorry from the rear on Monday morning.

The mishap took place at Kambalapadu circle under Dhone police station limits. All the injured were admitted to Kurnool General Hospital for treatment.

According to information, the Telangana State Road Transportation's Garuda bus was

going to Bengaluru from Hyderabad. When the bus reached Kambalapadu circle, two Lorries were going in front of the bus.

As speed breakers existed at the police, the lorries slowed down. The bus which was just behind the lorries and going at a good speed rammed into one of the lorries. As many as nine passengers travelling in the bus suffered injuries in the accident.

On learning about the mishap, Dhone police rushed to the spot and were involved in rescue operations. Al the injured passengers were shifted to Kurnool General Hospital for treatment.

The Dhone police registered a case and have taken up investigation. According to police, the mishap occurred as the bus was going at a high speed. All the injured passengers were said to be residents of Bengaluru.
