'No compromise on transparency': YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

Kadapa: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said his government was committed for promotion of transparency in governance without any compromise to raise living standards of poor and downtrodden people in the state.

Addressing a gathering after laying stone for Intelligent SEZ Development Limited of BESTEK Footwear India Pvt Ltd coming up at a cost of Rs 70 crores at Industrial Development Park in Pulivendula on Thursday, Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the government formulated policies balancing growth among different regions and sections of people. While congratulating SEZ for establishing unit in Pulivendula, the Chief Minister recalled that Apache leather industry had started its successful journey in AP with the support of his father late YS Rajasekhar Reddy in 2006 and was providing employment to many youth.

He said that the state was welcoming the investors by providing infrastructure facilities like power, water, land, skilled manpower and corruption-free and transparent government. He said multinational companies can establish their units without fear as government is always with them in extending full cooperation.

Saying that India is a favourite destination for Taiwanese businesses, Apache Foot wear director general Beng Wang said that his company was wishing continued growth of Taiwan-India economic relations. "I am sure my trip to AP would help to promote familiarity and friendship between two sides and will help welcome and encourage more investments from Taiwan," he said. Wang invited Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to visit Taiwan next year.

He also laid foundation for Institute of Rural Management Anand (IMRA) at AP Centre for Advance Research on Live Stock (APCARL) in Pulivendula.

Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha, district In-charge minister A Suresh, Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, APIIC chairperson and MLA R K Roja and others were present.
