No corona positive case detected in Kurnool district so far

Kurnool: District Collector G Veera Pandiyan stated that the district administration is all prepared to combat the deadly Coronavirus pin the district. He along with the Superintendent of Police (SP), Fakkeerappa Kaginelli and joint collector, Patanshetti Ravi Subash addressed media personnel at conference hall here on Saturday.

Addressing the occasion, the collector said to combat the Corona virus the district administration has formed 18 task force teams. He appealed the people of Kurnool district not to panic but follow and implement the suggestions and advices of doctors. He said so far 463 foreign returnees were identified by the village and ward volunteers. Of the 463 persons 131 do not belong to Kurnool and the rest were screened and lab tests have been conducted. Around 284 people have been kept under house isolation for 28 days and they were detected negative during the tests conducted by the doctors. Another 145 people were still under doctor's care at isolation ward, said Veera Pandiyan.

He further said that no positive case was registered till date in the district. Regular medical check ups are being conducted at villagers by coordinating the medical officers with ANMs and Asha workers.
