No justice to BCs under YSRCP rule criticises Yanamala Ramakrishnudu

Vijayawada: Former Finance Minister and the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Yanamala Ramakrishnudu came down heavily on Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy alleging that there is no social justice under his rule in the State.

Yanamala said only people representing a single community and family members of Jagan are getting justice in the State. He said the TDP government strove for the development of Backward Classes and nominated many BC leaders in important positions.

He said the TDP also ensured proper recognition to Yadavas by nominating Putta Sudhakar Yadav as the Chairman of the TTD and Narasimha Yadav as the chairman of the TUDA.

Yanamala said the YSRCP government had sacked both Sudhakar Yadav and Narasimha Yadav and nominated members of the same community - Y V Subba Reddy and Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy in the two posts.

In a press release here on Sunday, Yanamala pointed out that the YSRCP government appointed Roja Reddy as the chairperson of the APIIC and sacked P Krishnaiah. He alleged that there is no justice to BCs under the YSRCP rule.

Yanamala lashed out at the YSRCP government for scrapping the Aadarana-2 scheme, which was implemented for the benefit of the Backward Classes in the state. He said many backward classes were implicated and sent to the jails under the rule of Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and now the State government is trying to suppress the backward classes and resort to vindictive politics against them.

He said the TDP government implemented Sub-Plan for the backward classes and alleged that the YSRCP government is reducing allocations. The present YSRCP government allocated Rs 15,000 crore to the BCs as against Rs 16,000 crore allocated by the previous TDP government in the Vote-on-Account Budget. He questioned should the backward classes congratulate CM Jagan for reducing allocation of Rs 1000 crore to the BCs in the State budget.

He reminded that Jagan had assured BCs on creating 139 corporations for their development in the State during Padayatra and now changed his mind and has been planning to establish only 40 corporations for the Backward Classes.

He questioned how the development of backward classes will be possible with slashing the allocation to the BCs in the budget. Yanamala demanded that the YSRCP government stop the harassment of BCs and urged it to allocate more funds for their development.
