Novel protest against closure of Anna Canteens

Vijayawada: Telugu Desam leaders under the leadership of former MLA Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao and former Minister Devineni Uma staged rallies and protests against the closure of Anna canteens at various places in city on Friday.

Carrying tumblers and plates, the TDP men reached Anna canteens and demanded that the government reopen them. They termed the act of the government in closing the canteens as politics of vendetta.

They distributed food to the poor free of cost. The leaders said TDP will expose the anti-people policies of the Jagan government by launching state-wide rallies and protests.
