Srikakulam: Officials told to take measures to tackle Covid

Srikakulam: Animal Husbandry Minister Seediri Appala Raju instructed the officials concerned to arrange all required facilities at government and private hospitals across the district to provide treatment to Covid infected patients. Reviewing a Covid situation with District Collector Srikesh B Lathakar and officials concerned in Srikakulam on Tuesday, the misniter instructed the officials to provide required facilities at hospitals for treating Covid infected patients.

The minister appealed to the people to come forward for Covid confirmation test if they notice any Covid like symptoms.

District Collector explained that present 37th phase of fever survey is going on across the district and the field level staff is motivating people towards early detection of the disease to avoid further consequences.

He also elaborated that on Tuesday, a total of 573 Covid positive cases reported and total positive cases identified so far across the district are 1,26,049 and samples collected are 20,31,698. Joint Collectors, medical and health department officials attended the review meeting.
