One died, four injured in road accident in Chittoor district

Putalapattu: In an incident, one person died, and four sustained injuries in a road accident near Balaji kalyana mandapam at Putalapattu in Chittoor district. According to details, Harikrishna of Walajapet taluk at Vellore district in Tamil Naidu has visited Tirumala temple along with his family members on Monday. The family was returning back to Vellore after making darshans at other prominent temples on Wednesday.

As they reached Putalapattu, the car in which the family was traveling has met with an accident with a private travels bus moving towards Tirumala from TN. In this crash, Qualis driver Harikrishna (32) died. His mother Valliyamma (60), wife Priya (21), sister-in-law Renuka (17), Revathi (17), Radha (36), Abhinaya (10) suffered severe injuries.

In the head-on collision, two vehicled got badly damaged. As the incident happened close to the police station, the police reached the spot immediately. The victims were rushed to Chittoor government hospital in 108 ambulance, where Harikrishna died while receiving treatment.

The doctors said that Valliyamma and Revathi are in critical condition, they have been shifted to Vellore CMC after the first aid. Over the incident, Putalapattu police registered a case and investigating further.
