One held for raping girl in Krishna district
Amaravati: After the implementation of the Disha Act, AP police are responding fast and taking severe actions over the rape cases. In order to control sexual assault on women and girls, the government has set up the Disha police stations across the state.
Recently, the police have arrested an auto driver in the connection of rape case of a girl at Nuzividu in Krishna district. In this case, the accused approached the girl who was waiting for his father on the road at night time and took her to an isolated place and raped her. Later, he threatened to kill her if she discloses the matter with anyone.
After the assault, he left her behind Nuzividu IIIT. The police patrol vehicle noticed the girl in an unconscious state and rushed to the hospital. Later, she was shifted to a private hospital in Vijayawada for better treatment.
On the incident, the police have formed special teams and initiated the investigation. Based on the CCTV footage, the police found the accused as an auto driver and took him into their custody.
